Monday evening, during the Biennial Convention worship service, Rev. Mark Nienow was installed as President of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren.

Pastor Haruya Ito, who, along with his wife Fumi, is a ministry partner with missionaries Dean and Linda Bengtson, and Yosefu Kaneta, president of the Japanese LB Seminary, joined us for the biennial convention this year.

Pastor Dave Martin was commissioned during the Sunday evening worship service as a Church Planter for the Church of the Lutheran Brethren. Dave Martin will be planting a church in South Willoughby, OH, starting July 1.

After nearly 30 years of ministry in Chad, Paul & Teresa are retiring.

Congratulations to Rev. Mark Nienow for being elected as the president of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren.

The Council of Directors moved that St. Paul Lutheran Church, of Fergus Falls, MN, be accepted as an Affiliate Congregation of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren. This motion was seconded and carried by the Biennial Convention.

With gratitude to the Lord of the Church for His provision and trusting His leading for the future of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, it is my privilege to inform you that we have two nominees to be presented to the 2026 Biennial Convention for the office of CLB President. Rev Michael Edwards (Good News LBC, McAlisterville, PA) and Rev Mark Nienow (True Life Church, Rochester, MN) have been put forward by the Council of Directors and have graciously agreed to be open for nomination.
