SCHEDULE (Held at LB Seminary):

MORNING workshop – Helping Teens Become Smarter Than Their Smartphone:
The WHO, WHAT, WHEN, and WHY of wise posting in an insecure world. In a world where 89% of teenagers have a smartphone and 97% have access to social media, how can we help young people think before they post? In this workshop we’ll talk about four conversations we need to have with today’s teens and tweens:

  1. The friends you’re friending
  2. The pics you’re posting
  3. The screen time you’re absorbing
  4. The affirmation you’re seeking

LUNCH for Youth Workers – Hillcrest Academy’s Student Union building
Network, hear about our youth convention, and learn about some other significant opportunities.

AFTERNOON workshop – Connecting with Overconnected Kids:

In fact, many actually connect ministry effectiveness to the adult-to-student ratio. Are you connecting mentors with young people in your ministry? What does this actually look like?

DINNER Gathering:
Following our afternoon session, we offer an informal Q/A time with Jonathan over dinner at Mable Murphy’s.
