Friday evening, Eastern Regional Pastor, Warren Geraghty & myself boarded a plane following our COD meetings, and headed east for the weekend celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary and new building addition dedication of Faith LBC in Briarcliff Manor, NY.

- Pastor Tony Karlik passionately and capably shepherds the flock and leads the ministers / ministries of Faith LBC! Church leadership made extensive and wonderful plans for services and activiites throughout the weekend, highlighting youth, honoring previous pastors, music, activities, workshops, worship, and lots and LOTS of food! 🙂 (Notice the bass in the back row of the choir…, AND the alto down to his left… 🙂 )

- Faith’s former associate pastor, now sr pastor of our Bethany Staten Island congregation, Pastor Paul Couch, brought God’s Word at one of the services. We were also blessed to hear from former also beloved pastors, Joel Egge and Nick Mundis.
-
- John Stensrud is a son of the congregation (and father of one of my daughter Karina’s best friends from Hillcrest)

- PostScript to Pastor Tony: following the meal on dedication Sunday, I asked Tony where I could do a quick change of clothes before getting on the road to LaGuardia to catch my flight home. He brought me to his office, said this was a good and safe place for me to change, and left. I trusted him and did so. Somehow neither of us noticed that his office windows, formerly looking out at a Briarcliff Manor valley and solid bank of trees, now looks out (& in) from the well-inspected & frequently viewed new addition of the church…
