2022 Biennial Convention

June 11-14 | Fergus Falls, MN

The Convention Graphic

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me,” Jesus rightly claimed. He also invited us into his mission, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” As we are serving God as individuals and as his Church, we are going with all authority, given to us through Jesus Christ who sends us out into his Mission to reach the ends of the earth with his Gospel! That gives us hope, strength, and purpose, as we make disciples.

We knew that the convention graphic needed to carry that powerful message to represent this incredible privilege that we have as God’s Disciple-Making Church. The graphic needed to visually communicate the Gospel along with the people carrying this message to their neighbors and around the world. This graphic needed to capture the ongoing movement of making disciples to which we are called as the Church of the Lutheran Brethren.

As you see, our convention graphic is round, representing the world that we are called to reach. The cross is the focal point, where Jesus died for the sins of humanity on that dark day. The color yellow is the sunrise of Easter morning, reminding us of the triumphant resurrection of Jesus, the source of our hope as we share the Good News of our Savior with the world! The crowd represents the coming and going of disciples being redeemed at the cross and sent out into mission from the cross. The thick border around the logo are arrows illustrating the ongoing cycle of discipleship, as God works through his church to call, partner, unleash, and multiply disciples reaching the lost in this broken world.
