The 2008 Annual Convention will begin with a 7:00 p.m. worship service on Sunday, June 15 th. Thy Will Be Done is the theme of this convention which will develop from a call to confession on Sunday to a service of Holy Communion at the closing of the Convention on Wednesday. Rev. Stan Olsen is chairing the committee composed of Pastor Phil Heiser, Dr. Gaylan Mathiesen and President Joel Egge. Lori Anderson is the committee secretary. The Glimpse Project will be a series of episode-based documentary DVDs on our international missions. The idea is to capture in short segments, different aspects or stories of our missionaries’ lives. These episodes will essentially transport a bit of the experience of the mission field to the audience through video. Because there are many small segments, churches can show multiple stories about the same missionary family or the same people group. The goal is to familiarize our congregations with our missionaries and the world in which they live and serve. |
