Rev. Roger Olson was born in Ketchikan, Alaska. He grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska; Morrin, Alberta; Swift Current, Saskatchewan; and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was baptized as an infant and through the nurturing of his parents, and home congregations, grew to see his sin and his need for the salvation offered by Jesus Christ. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 and completed his seminary education at Lutheran Brethren Seminary in 1990. He has served congregations in Calgary, Alberta; Osakis, Minnesota; Camrose, Alberta; and Beaumont, Alberta. He and his wife Carol live in Beaumont, Alberta. They have four adult children.
