The Lord Provides
The Lord provides! That title might sound cliché and overly optimistic for those of you aware the Church of the Lutheran Brethren is currently $250,000 behind our anticipated contributions for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, but I chose that title not in anticipation of what is to come but in gratitude for what has already been given.
Your faithful giving is the vehicle God has chosen to drive the Church of the Lutheran Brethren. Your giving has brought the Gospel into Islamic villages in Chad, to the Hakka people in Taiwan, and to the native people in Japan. Your giving has sent Faith & Fellowship magazine into thousands of homes encouraging and resourcing Christians as they live as salt and light in their communities. Your giving has trained pastors and missionaries that teach the inerrancy of Scripture and proclaim Jesus Christ as the only road to salvation.
Giving may be down, but the Lord does provide. After all, that is the message of the Gospel. Jesus called Himself ‘the road that leads to life.’ Thank you for walking with us. Thank you for your encouragement and financial support. May God bless you, and may you be reminded of the salvation provided by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
