IPoint Anniversary

Mark your calendars! Saturday, June 19th marks the first-annual 'IPoint Celebrates' event where we will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the purchase of the property we now call Inspiration Point. The day will be packed with activities for all ages and include the only public showing of Gaslight Theater, silent and live auctions, swimming, boating, and climbing (the tower - not trees). When you're not busy with all the outdoor recreation activities or catching up with people you haven't seen in years, check out the archive room and learn (or relive!) the story of how Inspiration Point came to be and has become what it is today. You can even take a history tour of the site - remember when the ballfield was up on the grill or the old rainbow hut?

Join us as we celebrate a half century of God's faithfulness through this ministry and relive all the ways He has worked mightily in the hearts of His people through this 23-acre peninsula.

Greeting, Vision

With only a week left in our fiscal year (ending April 30th), we are 80% to our goal. Please prayerfully consider how God is calling you to give to the ministry of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren (CLB).

cont-April-half

The incredible thing about our vision as a Church is that we get to build it together! The mission of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren lies in your congregation. The question for the Synododical ministries is, how can we assist you in your mission? What can we do to support your ministry in reaching your neighbors? How can we help your church educate your lay leaders theologically? How can we supply you with the tools that you need to teach your children and engage your teens? We want to know and we desire to be part of your ministry. The wonderful fact is that God is in control. And this is ultimately God's Mission! We are his family, a family of churches, and we desire to be faithful to his calling. We have been called. How is he calling you?

Thank you for the contributions that have come in so far. We appreciate your support and invite you to build our vision with us. We are on the "Same Mission. Together."

Over the past year Faith & Fellowship Publishing has been working its way onto the internet, trying to connect with congregations in more immediate and convenient ways. They have been planning on a blog for a while, but wanted to make sure that there were enough contributions to the blog to make it valuable to readers. Below is the introductory post on the new Faith & Fellowship Blog.

------

ffblogIt's been a plan in the works for a few months and I'm excited to announce that Faith & Fellowship has a blog! Let me explain what that means and how it will be used.

First of all, we have three pastors that already blog quite a bit on their own and they have agreed to contribute to this blog. We hope to get more pastors and church leaders involved in the future but we're going to start small and build up as we understand the purpose and mission of Faith & Fellowship Online.

Secondly, this blog will be used as a place to add news and information from around the Church of the Lutheran Brethren (CLB). Plus posting information on this blog is much more immediate and convenient than waiting to include it in the magazine. Following this blog will keep you updated on events, news and opinions all over the CLB. Updates will be retrieved from congregations, special events, and the CLB website's blog, as well. The idea is that the network of information from around the CLB will converge here on this blog. We hope that this blog will be the location where you can come and be directed to all kinds of information and news around the CLB.

Let us know if you have any ideas or opinions about this new project.

Thank you,

Tim Mathiesen
